General Employment Policies

At Will Employment

XYZ’s employees are “at will,” which means that such employees or the Company can terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, except as otherwise provided by law. This at-will relationship cannot be altered unless expressed in writing, with the understanding specifically set forth and signed by a duly-authorized Company officer.

Relationship with Code of Conduct

XYZ’s ethical and thoughtful approach to business and our community is embodied in its Code of Conduct, which you must separately acknowledge, and which should be read in conjunction with this Handbook. As set forth in the Code of Conduct, XYZ will conduct business honestly and ethically wherever operations are maintained. We strive to improve the quality of our services, products, and operations and will maintain a reputation for honesty, fairness, respect, responsibility, integrity, trust, and sound business judgment. Our managers and employees are expected to adhere to high standards of business and personal integrity as a representation of our business practices, at all times consistent with their duty of loyalty to the Company.

Violations

Violation of the Code of Conduct and/or the policies contained in the Employee Handbook can result in discipline, up to and including termination of employment. The degree of discipline imposed is at the sole discretion of XYZ and may be influenced by the existence of voluntary disclosure of any ethical violation and whether the violator cooperated in any subsequent investigation.
